Jimmy Johns, so slow you'll stroke out from frustration.
Seriously, when I was in undergrad I wouldn't be done paying for my order when they handed me my sandwich. This place, I have to wait 5 minutes for a Slim 6 with avocado. It's maddening.
The food itself is perfectly good, as good as any other Jimmy Johns, but the wait will kill you. -

Jimmy Johns at this location is about as sanitary as getting a tattoo at the Greyhound Station at Garnett.
The delivery guy looked a little homeless hard. Had a smell that lingered of a tinge of urine. Hands were that mechanic type dirty and I didn't want him handling the food AT ALL.
Let's talk about the food. I didn't eat it. I asked for all the veggies and paid extra for the avocado spread. No avocado spread. Skimpy wilted lettuce, one semi spoiled tomato. I got a JJ BLT - ONE SLIVER OF BACON. Said no mayo, had mayo on it. No pickles, no peppers even though I ASKED FOR THEM. Threw it in the trash - mayo is non negotiable.
Other sandwich that was ordered for the husband. A tuna fish one. The thing smelled like rotten Kimchi and was WARM though it wasn't heated. He threw it out.
JJ's has raised their prices since my college days, and they are no longer the cute afforable hole in the wall sandwich shop when I'm throwing out twenty five bucks for two sandwiches (delivery driver forgot the chips and didn't bring them back).

I am Jimmy Johns loyal customer. I eat there ALOT, even when traveling. In all other locations, I have experienced FREAKY FAST delivery. This location is slow, and has actually caused me to miss lunch for the past few days because they literally take 50 + min to deliver my sandwich.
Not to mention when I finally received my sandwich the bread was HARD.
Also the delivery men look dirty. When I say that I mean dirty nails, dirty shirts...crusty eyes. No one wants dirty looking people handling there food.
This location use to be just as good as all the others, but is clearly declining. -

I eat at this location for lunch pretty frequently, as it's right around the corner from my office, and I have to say it doesn't really live up to the standards of other Jimmy John's locations I've lived and worked near. The sandwiches are the pretty standard issues JJ offerings, but the delivery is far from "freaky fast."
At my last job, when my coworkers and I would order from the Jimmy John's down the street, it felt like we wouldn't even have time to run to the restroom after hitting "send" on the order, or we'd miss the delivery. With this location, about 1/2-3/4 of the time, the delivery comes within a reasonable (not speedy, but reasonable) time frame, but the other 1/4-1/2 is totally unpredictable. I've had to wait up until an hour and a half to receive my order before--and I work less than a quarter mile from the store. I'm lucky that I don't work in an externally-facing or shift-oriented job, so for the most part I can just eat whenever the order arrives rather than being limited to an assigned lunch hour--but what about people who do have a set lunch time who are relying on timely delivery? I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. I have had to miss lunch a couple of times due to extremely late Jimmy John's delivery when I've had meetings scheduled later in the afternoon.
Will I keep ordering from Jimmy John's? Yes, probably, because their sandwiches are good and it's one of the few places in downtown Decatur that delivers directly (rather than through a third-party service). I just really wish they'd work to standardize their delivery times so I don't feel like I'm crossing my fingers and gambling every time I place a lunch order here. -

Wow, I have never been in a restaurant before that was so clearly all about their own processes, and not about the customer. Here's what happened....I went to this Jimmy John's wanting a tuna lettuce roll up. They have a board of ingredients you can choose from. One of the ingredients is regular yellow mustard. I asked for that along with a couple of other things. They said they could not put the yellow mustard on the sandwich. I reminded them that it was on their board of available ingredients. They said they could only provide the yellow mustard in little packets and I would have to put it on the sandwich myself. I told them that with a lettuce roll up, I would have to take it apart to do that. Could they just grab a couple of packets and put the mustard on it while they were making it. And they said 'No'. They could not do that. And that it was against corporate regulations. I was floored. What was it about yellow mustard and more importantly, about the management style of this company where the employees did not feel comfortable defying the mustard rule to help out a customer? They were actually a little nervous about it. It is so random and weird that it defies any rational explanation. Talk about a company where bizarre customer-unfriendly rules come first, and to hell with the customer. I will never be back. Subway will do anything you want, and with a smile.
